Dear Reader,
There are many things that can go wrong with estate planning in general. To be honest, many of us do not want to deal with the issues of planning what is to happen to our personal estate as long as we are young and healthy. So today, we are going to take a look at which documents are fundamental in the USA.
Again, things are a bit different in the United States when compared to Germany.
- The last will and testament (Testament) are usually prepared together with an estate planning lawyer and is in typewritten form.
- It is common to purchase a cemetery plot in advance. It is not restricted to a certain number of years.
- Cremations are prepaid.
The attached worksheet Your estate plan contains a vocabulary learning exercise.
