Using the email system is quite convenient, we tend to type in our response right away and send it off. However, how about making a phone call every now and then?
Also, have you considered making it easy for your mail partners to reach you by automatically adding your phone number to every email message that you send out? Using the signature settings in your email account in a couple of clicks is easy and fast. Invite your mail partner to give you a call. Let him or her know when they can reach you.
The benefit is that with a little bit of small talk and by talking with each other you are “oiling the machine to work smoothly and efficiently”. In case real problems should ever come up, it’s just so much easier to pick up the phone and settle the matter right then and there. Good luck.
